Highly regarded Family Office is seeking a qualified accountant to join the team as a Financial Accountant.The Family Office serves 3 generations of the family across their diverse array of activities and interests. The professional support functions provided by the family office span accounting, tax, investment and company secretarial. The Family Office remit also encompasses philanthropy and farming.

Responsibilities:
Cash management:
· Manage liquidity to meet operational requirements while also optimizing returns
Transactional Finance:
· Ensure supplier payments are complete, accurate, authorized and timely
· Take responsibility for ensuring the family is receiving appropriate commercial terms
Accounting:
· Lead in-sourcing of accounting function from external service providers
· Complete timely and accurate month-end processing of accounts in Xero
Reporting:
· Prepare annual statutory financial statements for consolidated group and stand-alone entities
· Liaise with audit and tax compliance professional service firms
· Prepare and continuously refine weekly, monthly and quarterly management and board reporting
Compliance:
· Lead tax compliance activities for both corporate entities and family members
· Manage ASIC, ACNC and other regulatory reporting requirements
Investment Management:
· Own the financial investment administration processes i.e. subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, position reconciliations etc.
· Support investment opportunity due diligence and analyses
· General Administration:
· The family office is a small team and everyone willingly contributes to filing, form filling, obtaining signatures or whatever general administration is required.
Person
- Experience gained in Professional Services, Private Practice, or another Family Office
- Degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce
- Excellent communication ability with senior executives
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
