The roleThis role will be responsible for the financial and month end activities within the organisation. Duties involve:
- Process month end closing, complete reconciliations and maintain ledgers.
- Provide quality, accurate and timely customer-focused financial and management accounting services, information and advice to management.
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the asset register.
- Solid knowledge of GST in preparation for BAS.
- Support the wider finance team including AP, AR and other business units.
- Weekly payroll including payroll tax and the analysis of labour per state.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across in systems, reporting, process and efficiency.
About you- Degree qualified, you have experience in an Assistant Accountant role and be looking to step up, OR you are a seasoned financial accountant looking to make your mark in a new role. Your ability to work across multiple business units is your key strength. Strong knowledge of Excel and superior communication skills are a must as you will be joining a supportive and close knit culture; building internal and external relationships.
