JLT Public Sector provides risk-based services to public sector entities nationally and across NSW. We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in NSW on a permanent basis.
The Primary function of this role is to provide accounting support to the General Manager in NSW and the financial management and reporting of Mutual schemes in NSW. The role is responsible for the daily accounting and month-end tasks for the NSW branch.

We will count on you to:
- Develop, administer and maintain the financial processes and systems of the enterprise and/or its subsidiaries, and associated Public Sector Mutuals.
- Document financial standing for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Assisting managers and peers to prepare forecasts, budgets, monthly variance reports and other expense analysis on Scheme and Corporate FP&A Global Shared Services budgets.
- Assist auditors with queries in a timely and accurate manner and provide transparent and complete information for review.
- Establish or maintain partnerships across the Finance function to deliver value-added service and consulting to management and employees that is aligned with the business objectives of the organisation.
- Ensure monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a timely basis and follow up and rectify any outstanding items for by both Marsh and JLTs Public Sector Schemes.
- Review of monthly income for MMC through the download and input of monthly income statements to assist the Senior Finance Manager
What you need to have:
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience working within the financial services sector
- Bachelor of Accounting / Finance degree
- CA / CPA qualified
- Experience assisting auditors
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with Oracle, OneSource Accounts Production, would be well regarded.
