The Access Sydney Company Secretary will play a critical role in supporting Access Sydney’s corporate governance. This role will work closely with the CEO, Chair, and Directors to ensure the smooth operation of the Board and its Committees, compliance with governance legislation and provide advice as appropriate.
Key deliverables of the role will include:
• Supporting effective governance and the professional operations of the Board
• Preparing for and attending monthly Board meetings and AGM, drafting minutes of the meetings, and managing membership compliance
• Ensuring company legislative obligations and all requirements of regulatory bodies are fully met
• Strategic thought leadership and support including good practice in governance and regulatory and statutory changes and policies that may affect the organisation, including regulatory changes in the aged care programs.

You will bring your skills and depth of knowledge of the Corporations Act and Corporate Governance Principles, combined with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and management capabilities.
This is a pivotal role offering exposure to a wide variety of company secretarial and corporate governance matters in a not for profit environment.

• Relevant legal qualifications and /or equivalent knowledge and management experience in a related discipline
• MAICD/GAICD membership (highly desirable).
