The Organisation:Girls Sport Victoria is one of the largest independent girls’ school sporting associations in Victoria, with 24 member schools from around Melbourne. Established in 2001, GSV provides approximately 16,500 girls with the opportunity to be involved in over 20 sports through weekly competitions, carnivals, tournaments and events.
Core ResponsibilitiesThe role (a 6-month maternity leave replacement) includes, but is not limited to full responsibility of Weekly Sport.As our
Competition Lead, you will complete the planning, coordination and execution of the GSV Weekly Sport Program. This is a critical role that will ensure the success of our Weekly Sport Competition.
Responsibilities include;- Plan and develop the weekly sport fixtures
- Booking of venues and officials for sport events
- Week - to - week management of the competition
- Maintaining the online results platform
- Allocation of qualifiers to finals
- Ensure clear understanding of competition Rules and Regulations
Essential Requirements- Superior attention to detail
- Previous experience with end-to-end competition management & scheduling/fixturing
- High level skill and application of Microsoft Excel
- A sophisticated knowledge of a range of sports
- A style which complements an office that often operates under time pressure
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a proven track record of effective communication and relationship management with a broad range of people internally and externally
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers License
