Completions Engineer

The South West Gateway Alliance (SWGA), comprising of Main Roads, Acciona, NRW Contracting, MACA Civil, AECOM and Aurecon, is delivering the $1.25 billion Bunbury Outer Ring Road project. SWGA will design and construct 27 kilometres of rural highway and local government roads from Forrest Highway near Australind to Bussell Highway, South of Bunbury. The project is forecast for completion in 2024. 

Significant local employment and business opportunities will be generated within the South West region and as a result, we are currently looking for a Completions Engineer to join our Quality and Handover Team.

This position will require you to:

• Liaise with external and internal stakeholders including package leads and Site Engineers 
• Conduct field inspections and punch list walkdowns on roadworks and structures
• Identify, track and close defects to enable handover staged construction lots
• Ability to interpret drawings and understand technical requirements
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports of construction lots and handover packages 
• Review and assess subcontractor’s quality dossiers
• Assess and close non conformances 
• Fit for work, ability to work project hours and drive on site

What experience are we looking for?

• Qualification in Civil Engineering preferred 
• Experience in Completions Management 
• Demonstrated closure of staged construction lots 
• Familiarity with RIB-CX or other similar completion software
• Experience with punch list walkdowns, defect identification and closure. 
• The ability to communicate well and work within a friendly team environment
