Overview
The Research Governance Officer (RGO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of Research Governance matters within the regional Local Health Networks (LHNs) in South Australia. Reporting to the Manager Service Initiatives (RSS Research Office Manager), the RGO is tasked with upholding the SA Health Research Ethics and Governance Policy (2023).
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on Research Governance matters to external researchers and LHN staff.
- Review site-specific assessments and Research Governance applications to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor research activity across LHNs and generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
- Contribute to the management of issues pertaining to research integrity, complaints, and misconduct, fostering a culture of ethical research practice.
