Exciting opportunity for a Development Compliance Advisor who has extensive experience working on large infrastructure/construction projects, preferably within the Renewable Energy sector. The position is a project role fixed for 2 years, located in Brisbane with some travel to site.

About the Role
As the compliance specialist you will be responsible overseeing compliance with the various project approvals and other regulatory requirements in the construction phase of Windlab projects. Typical approvals being the Development Approval, EPBC approval, CEMP, AIP etc.
With a focus on contractor compliance, you will partner with both internal and external stakeholders, and drive a contractor and consultant strategy and management framework, to boost engagement and mitigate risk.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Responsible for Regulatory Compliance and Contractor Management functions
- Establish governance and control systems
- Provide comprehensive advice on compliance to both internal/external stakeholders and contractors
- Undertake appropriate Audits to confirm compliance or otherwise
- Manage the processes for identifying emerging compliance risk issues and ensure that relevant mitigation strategies and actions are either in place or planned.
- Keep the compliance and risk management framework updated
- Support and manage project improvements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on governance / compliance and controls to the Project team and senior leaders in the business

Addition skills/experience required:
- Experience working within the development, construction and/or operational stages of large-scale HV electrical infrastructure , or renewable projects
- A strong understanding of the development approval process
