An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Project Officer to join the Office for Research at SALHN!
The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) has a strong reputation for the quality of its scientific and medical research. SALHN's Research Hub ensures these research and quality improvement projects meet the National Clinical Trial Governance Framework standards, SA Health policy and procedures, and the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (NHMRC,).
About the Role:
As the Project Officer, your duties may include:
- Ensuring the efficient and effective review of research and quality improvement projects submitted to the Research Hub within a framework of ethical, legal and regulatory compliance and corporate governance
- Coordinating and compiling agendas and minutes to ethics and governance meetings
- Contributing to the maintenance of informational material provided to researchers and stakeholders.
- Undertaking data extraction and analysis which will contribute content for reports to SA Health, SALHN's Board of Directors and other external stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for the administrative functions of the Research Hub to achieve Good Clinical Practice in Australian Clinical Research.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in research or ethics roles in a healthcare setting that demonstrates a sound knowledge of research requirements in Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and foster good working relationships internally and externally with staff at all levels including executives, researchers and clinicians.
- Experience reviewing documents of a technical or scientific nature in a tertiary or hospital setting.
- Proven ability to function efficiently, accurately and calmly under pressure.
