Role Overview:
As a Compliance Manager you will oversee various aspects of compliance, including AFSL compliance, AML/CTF compliance, privacy and data security, governance and reporting, risk management, and the operationalization of compliance and risk processes. You will work closely with our clients Legal & Compliance Analyst and collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on day-to-day compliance with AFSL obligations.
- Maintain AML Program and internal AML registers for Australia and New Zealand.
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws by maintaining our Privacy Policy and collaborating with the IT & Security team.
- Lead quarterly Governance Committee meetings and assist with board reporting and policy approvals.
- Work with the business to ensure the effectiveness of our risk management framework.
- Continuously improve compliance, governance, and risk processes through automation and upgrades.
- Oversee other compliance-related matters such as policy preparation, regulatory filings, compliance training, and due diligence processes.
Position Requirements:
- Several years of compliance, governance, and/or risk management experience.
- Sound knowledge of AML/CTF laws, privacy, data security laws, and financial services licensing laws in Australia and NZ.
- Practical experience in supporting the design and implementation of effective compliance/risk programs.
- A passion for creativity and a high ownership mentality to build and improve current practices.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
- Experience mentoring and teaching junior team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a hospitality mindset.
