The position
As Compliance Officer, you'll step into a recently established, full-time, permanent position ideal for detail-oriented individuals who consistently deliver excellence. The role is designed for candidates who are at the early stages of their career and are eager to gain more experience in the field. Your main responsibility will be providing vital support to our operations team, focusing on health, safety, environment, and quality. Your contribution will be pivotal in maintaining our commitment to compliance and safety excellence.
The candidate
We are seeking candidates who exemplify an unwavering dedication to safety and possess a keen eye for detail. The successful team member should demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a close-knit team setting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee documentation and quality control procedures
- Ensure appropriate documentation for quality assurance
- Develop and maintain inspection and quality plans
- Uphold compliance standards for manufactured products
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits, inspections and assessments to ensure adherence to HSEQ standards
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters
- Investigate and report on compliance breaches or incidents
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices
- Continuously improve and optimise compliance processes
- Foster a safe and ethical work environment
Qualifications and requirements
- Hold a certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification
- Showcase a strong commitment and high motivation towards ensuring workplace safety
- Display reliability, approachability, punctuality and maintain professionalism consistently
- Bring experience in conducting safety inspections, assessments and audits
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit proficiency in utilising Word, Excel, Outlook and HSEQ management systems
- Experience in ISO standards would be highly regarded
