As part of our new Adelaide Service Delivery alliance partnership with SA Water to improve outcomes for its customers, we’re building an Adelaide Production & Treatment workforce responsible for operating five water treatment plans and five wastewater treatment plants.
Working in partnership with SA Water as one brand and one team, our embedded Adelaide Production & Treatment alliance team will enable a safe and engaged workforce to meet SA Water’s customer service targets and regulated responsibilities at the lowest sustainable cost for Adelaide customers. Our Vacancy
The Compliance Officer will support the P&T Alliance in meeting its legislative, regulatory, and other applicable compliance obligations through upholding compliance processes, engaging with the business, and reporting.
Your primary duties will include:
- In collaboration with the Risk and Compliance Manager, you provide key support to the P&T Alliance in compliance identification, support, reporting, and improvement.
- Undertake reviews and investigations as required to aid internal stakeholders in understanding their legislative and / or regulatory compliance obligations.
- Review and assess legislative and regulatory change notifications to understand potential impact to the business and appropriate response measures.
- Work with internal stakeholders to address non-compliance issues.
- Support compliance with risk and opportunity management processes, including leading delivery of risk reviews and administering any outputs.
- Monitor and report on any legislative, regulatory, or other applicable compliance related matters.
- Update, maintain and quality assure compliance related information in systems, spreadsheets, and other documents.
- Support in the continual improvement of compliance management systems, processes, and performance.
- Participate as a member of the internal audit team, identify opportunities to improve compliance with management system requirements.
What you can bring to the team
Essential Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in compliance management and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyse, and evaluate information.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in written and verbal.
- Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Intermediate user of MS Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Current Unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
Desirable Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration or similar.
- Experience working in utilities, environmental, or relevant heavy industry preferred but not mandatory.
