Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Composite Technician to manufacture a broad range of components, using various composite techniques, including: prepreg, wet-lay, vacuum bagging, infusion, etc - and various materials, including carbon fibre, Kevlar's, fibreglass etc. The ideal candidate will possess a strong history in either Defence, aerospace or relevant industry of composite manufacture, exhibit a strong quality focus, and have the ability to drive efficiency in their workload in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality and conforming products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and maintain quality standards.
- Assist in daily tasks to monitor inventory levels within department and coordinate with the production manager and team leads to ensure availability of materials and equipment.
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the team.
Favourable Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in a relevant role, preferably in Defence/aerospace industries or similar.
- Strong knowledge of composite processes/products.
- Able to follow a quality management system to maintain conforming product.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Relevant qualifications in composite manufacture or related.
Additional Information:
This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work involved.
