Where the team fits in
REA is evolving how it leverages data and technology to deliver benefits for customers. After the acquisition of PropTrack in May-18, and following large growth in recent years, we are now looking for an experienced Senior Property Manager to re-imagine our Property Data foundations for the next stage of growth.
PropTrack provides Property Data and technical platform solutions to customers in the financial and government sectors. The Core Property Data team within PropTrack are the custodians of Property Data and supports this data asset group wide. We are responsible for delivering the best data solutions to our internal and external customers. It is the core delivery centre for developing solutions to meet customer priorities and align with PropTrack’s Data and Technology strategy.
What the role is all about
Clearly articulate the REA, PropTrack and Core Property Data strategies.
Maintain a roadmap which balances current operational constraints, targeted delivery of value and long-term strategic goals.
Define and compellingly articulate the product and data architecture and value proposition to internal customers and stakeholders.
Contribute to the Core Property Data strategy, working with key SMEs including Product Managers, Tech Leads and Data Managers across our group
Shape the Core Property Data team’s product portfolio to make it easy for internal teams to leverage Property Data and lower the cost of managing data.
Balance long-term needs of scale/re-use with near-term market responsiveness considerations.
Lead the team in development of new products and features e2e including discovery, opportunity assessment, ideation, development, delivery, launch, and support.
Effectively implement and monitor plans/schedules with dependent teams/stakeholders, making appropriate trade-offs on scope, time, and cost.
Build close partnerships with our key internal stakeholder groups, understand their businesses, their customers’ needs, their environmental constraints, their tactical and strategic objectives.
Work closely with technology and product leads across the business, developing an enterprise-wide perspective to support REA as a data-driven organisation.
As the SMEs of Property Data, bringing our stakeholders on our transformation journey via education and knowledge sharing.
Who we’re looking for
7+ years experience working in a commercial data environment with a proven track record for delivery and a passion for data.
Prior experience in product management highly desired.
Prior experience with data warehouses, data lakes and/or databases highly desired (hands on experience of some form working with data will be highly regarded).
Prior experience in product delivery, ideally in an Agile environment.
Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
Strong experience in stakeholder management and prioritisation
Demonstrated experience making data driven decisions, and in communicating concepts effectively using data and visualisation.
Strong analytical skills, including ability to interpret complex business needs and translate into product requirements for technical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to manage product or project roadmaps with trade-offs and dependencies.
Demonstrated experience in commercialising data.
Property data domain knowledge is highly desirable.
