Join our dynamic team at Azima Restaurant as we seek talented individuals to fill our new restaurant demand. As a valued member of our staff, you will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our esteemed guests. We are looking for a Full Time Chef working Full Time minimum 38 hours paid 70k plus super.
As the Chef, you will be responsible for planning and organising the preparation and cooking of food in Azima Restaruant
This is a hand-on position. To be successful in this role you will:
· Be experienced in a Restaurant environment
· Have a solid knowledge of current trends and styles
· Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food
- Plan menus, estimating food and labour costs,
- Ordering food supplies
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discuss food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- preparing and cooking food
- explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- train staff
- Handle freezing and preserving foods
· Have food and beverages knowledge
· Ability to work in a fast paced F&B environment and deliver excellent service standards under pressure
· A proven ability to implement work place procedures
· Motivation and initiation in building business success through your efforts and your team's
· Strength in Food and Beverage service (desirable)
· Current RSA Certificate (desirable)
· Working with other cooks and chefs for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies
· Overseeing stock levels
Skill Requirement:
The successful candidate would also need to possess at least a diploma level with atleast 2 years Full Time industry experience. Alternatively at least 3 years of closely related work experience will substitute for formal qualifications.
