About Your Role:
As a Construction Accounts Receivable Officer at Unita, you will have the primary responsibility of end-to-end Accounts Receivable.
What your days will look like:
- Creation of invoices based on contract conditions and in accordance with the Security of Payments Acts in all States.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including allocation of Bank payments, credit notes, and verifying, classifying, and reconciliation of customer amounts.
- Negotiate with clients to ensure timely payment of overdue accounts.
- Generate reports detailing financial status, as and when required.
- Contribute to finance process development and innovation by identifying process improvements and efficiency gains for accounts payable-related policies and procedures.
- General ledger reconciliation work and working within spreadsheets.
- Responding professionally to all supplier queries/correspondence in a timely manner.
What you will bring to the role:
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in management financial operations and account functions.
- Experience in Australian Construction Industry is highly desirable but not essential.
- Tertiary qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP.
- Excellent attention to detail whilst working to deadlines.
- High level of communication and ability to maintain internal and external relationships at all levels.
