SalaryOmaxe Homes is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Residential Home Construction Estimator. This position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of construction documents, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Collaborate with the team to develop timely and accurate responses to architects' requests for Opinion of Costs, Detailed Costings, Value Management, and submitting Orders for construction projects.
Review Construction Documents: Thoroughly review construction documents to identify project requirements, specifications, and potential cost implications.
Construction Phase Support: Ensure adherence to project specifications during the construction phase. Collaborate with the construction team to provide necessary support and address any cost-related issues that may arise during the build.
Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records as required by the company. Responsible for the timely input and maintenance of vital details, ensuring data integrity and availability for future reference.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Building Design, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in residential construction estimating, preferably in a similar role within the real estate industry.
- Knowledge of construction cost estimation techniques, industry standards, and best practices.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and construction teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving and Decision-making:
- Ability to analyze complex construction-related issues and provide practical solutions.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills when evaluating cost implications and change orders.
