Location: South Burnett Region, 100km North of Toowoomba (FIFO/DIDO from anywhere in Australia)
About the Role
Our Power Projects team is currently handling multiple significant power projects and is searching for an experienced Construction Manager or an individual willing to step up to the role of CM to join our team. This role will involve site-managing a major BESS connection and secondary systems replacement project located in the South Burnett Region, 100km north of Toowoomba.
You will work on a FIFO or DIDO basis with a 10:4 roster, including LAHA/Site uplift. As part of a larger team, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Frontline leaders, providing practical construction expertise to ensure the project is delivered within time, budget, and quality parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise subcontractors, supervisors, and field staff.
- Lead the delivery team, ensuring quality planning and scheduling according to project requirements.
- Ensure project documents are complete and meet document control standards.
- Lead by example and promote Zero Harm when engaging with operational teams.
- Contribute to the development of project strategy, business plan, and budget.
About You
- Trade or tertiary qualified with an electrical/mechanical fitters’ license and a certificate IV in WH&S preferred.
- Exposure to Power Transmission or Substation projects.
- Demonstrable experience in construction, risk, OHS, quality, and environmental management.
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders.
- Basic proficiency with computers and related software (MS Suite).
- Willingness to travel, as projects may be located anywhere within Australia.
