Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee multiple exciting business and system initiatives.
- Team Player: Work with multi-disciplinary teams to transition to new business systems, ensuring changes to established processes are smooth and effective.
- Planning and Design: Use project management tools and techniques to plan, design, and deliver assigned projects, ensuring timely and user-friendly outcomes
- Documentation: Develop and maintain project-related documents and reports, including project briefs, management plans, status reports, and risk/issues registers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams to ensure seamless transitions, providing support and guidance.
What will you bring to the role? You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have effective communication and interpersonal skills. As well as having a confident and positive personality, you will ideally possess:
- Relevant undergraduate/post-graduate qualifications in a related discipline.
- Industry-recognized project management qualification (e.g., PMBOK, Agile etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a similar Project Manager role, preferably in the aged care, human services, or not-for-profit industry
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and stakeholder influence, with responsibility for project schedule, budget, scope, risk, and communication plans.
- Demonstrate diverse project experience across business systems, process improvement and embedding change.
- Proactive approach, with strong partnership, collaboration, and relationship focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with structured project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Prince2, Agile) and practical application for stakeholder engagement.
- Strong evidence of embedding change and working closely with non-technical stakeholders.
- Above all else, you will have a kind, friendly, and trustworthy personality, with excellent listening skills. What's important to us is that you evidence a passion for people and business improvement. The Aged Care sector is facing major change and you will need to be adaptable and agile in your approach to delivering assigned projects.
- Willingness to travel within Regional Queensland and other States in Australia, including overnight stays.
- You must be based locally.
Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
