They specialize in the design, construction, and commissioning of solar projects, contributing to the country's clean energy future. As they expand their operations, they are seeking a dedicated Construction Manager to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview:
Join their dynamic team as a Construction Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing site production schedules, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the construction process. Working closely with their Project Manager and Sydney engineering office, you'll proactively identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to keep construction on track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction processes to ensure quality work in a safe, efficient manner, coordinating with the Superintendent, Quality, and EHS site managers.
- Provide technical inputs to civil, mechanical, and electrical design engineers to develop construction plans that optimize production, costs, and labour.
- Create construction strategies to enhance site efficiency and improve production cadences.
- Diagnose construction process problems, provide recommendations, and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop production schedules and S-curves to monitor physical progress of construction works.
- Monitor and manage construction budget.
- Assist during testing and commissioning of the PV plant.
- Report construction KPIs and site data inputs to prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate production of as-built drawings and manage handover process to DLP/O&M team.
- Master's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering-related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction management.
- Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for learning.
