We offer integrated value-based logistics solutions that bring greater operating efficiency and savings to our customers’ supply chains.The opportunity:We have an exciting new opportunity for a Lifting Operations Superintendent to join our Toll Port Services team in Dampier WA. Connecting industry and suppliers to products and services, the Toll Dampier Port Terminal features over 41 hectares of integrated facilities. The Terminal also provides six land-backed ship berths linking directly to the cargo wharf, along with ample quarantine, warehousing and storage services on-site.Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Lifting Operations Superintendent will enable the Toll Dampier Supply Base to meet their customer and stakeholder operational requirements within Toll supply Chains Marine port facility in a safe and effective manner by managing resources mentoring the team and approving high risk work functions accordingly.As the Lifting Operations Superintendent, you will:
- Manage site interactions and communications with Toll stevedoring and maritime services contractors
- Manage Toll’s compliance with AS/MO lifting standards
- Develop and approve and execute lift studies
- Manage, Check and approve labour charging and invoices
- Ensure timely response for all wharf Terminal activities.
- Arrange and co-ordinate Vessel Berthing / requirements with scheduling team to meet port Facility & Lifting requirements.
- Ensure that all port operations are conducted in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements, to ensure safety to staff, the community and the environment.

- A proven track record of safety management pertaining to Lifting Operations
- Contractor management experience - highly desirable
- Experience with structured work management processes and the development of critical lift plans / studies preferred
- Strong technical experience within maintenance in a mining business
- Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills
- Maritime Security Clearance - beneficial
