Our client is an Ipswich based government organisation whose strategy is to build community engagement through collaborative conversation. They work across planning and property, civil infrastructure, flood recovery and emergency management projects. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to engage a Construction Supervisor and Safety Partner (Combined) to ensure a safe and compliant working environment for all workers.
Your new role This role will be an integral part of the project operations team where you will be implementing safety systems, programs, and strategies as well as coaching workers to identify hazards and reduce risks across their projects. All work will be performed on the redevelopment site, which will involve the following responsibilities:
Overseeing the daily operations of the retail development site.
Conduct regular meetings with principal contractor and tenant fitout contractors
Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety plans, procedures, and Safety processes in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and assess the effectiveness of safety measures in place.
Collaborate with workers and all site stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning, design, and execution.
Investigate safety-related incidents and near misses, coordinate corrective actions, and generate reports for management review
What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed, you will ideally hold the following:
Hold minimum Cert IV qualifications in WHS / OHS
Hold a 30215 Qld Course in General Safety Induction (Construction Industry).
Hold a Cert IV (TAE) in Training and Assessment
