Our Development line of business are currently seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join the team based in our Shell Cove site office. Shell Cove is located within the Shellharbour area of the Illawarra region. The current development pipeline of land, medium and high-density homes, retail, and public infrastructure is forecast to continue until 2027.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Construction Supervisor will be responsible for managing subcontractors to ensure excellence in remedial construction and providing a quality experience for our clients post settlement. You will be part of a highly collaborative team environment that is led locally by the project team Development Director and have the opportunity to make a real difference and contribute to a once-in-a-generation, regionally significant destination.

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:
Lead and maintain a strong approach towards the implementation of FPA Procedures and Processes, embedding cultural focus into the Subcontractors; maintain HSE compliance and implementation and management of FPA Risk Standards
Planning of works focused on HSE requirements specific to residential remediation such as scaffold, access and investigation planning prior to commencement of works
Promote a customer first culture, ensuring customer expectations are met, service delivery standards are adhered to and providing relevant updates to customer care teams regarding inspections and rectification works through programme tracking and forecasting
Coordinate subcontractors to complete remedial works and manage process through to completion; assisting with signoff and acceptance post completion ensuring all items completed within the agreed scope
Implementation of key hold / inspection points relevant to NCC and Australian Standard Requirements and monitoring of subcontractors to ensure adherence throughout including managing any additional defects identified through remediation
Proactive leadership approach to implementation of ITP’s and ensuring completion in conjunction with Project / Site Engineer
Provide input into subcontract packages, ensuring construction deliverables and quality outcomes are met, assess and provide insight into subcontractor performance
Ordering of materials as required, review and approve delivery dockets and subcontractor timesheets and understanding of project budgets to ensure delivery of works within budget
Lead the development and implementation of Construction Management plans; development and tracking of Construction Programme specific to the remedial works
As the ideal applicant you will possess:
A Supervisor Certificate or Builders License
Extensive demonstrated experience in Construction Supervision ideally within medium density “stick built”; experience in remediation preferred
Thorough understanding of BCA/NCC as well as implementation of Relevant Australian Standards
Line management and budget responsibility experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level interpersonal skills and professional presentation
Problem solving ability, passion for excellent customer service, ability to work in team
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel
