The OrganisationJoin a 236-bed regional hospital that services 10 rural hospitals and multi-purpose health facilities across the region. The health service is embarking on an exciting period of growth with a $250m redevelopment of the base hospital to provide an additional 112 inpatient beds and an expansion of outpatient and support services. Significant upgrades are also underway at rural hospitals.
The Job

• As a Consultant General Surgeon, you will provide effective and equitable surgical services including the provision of acute in-patient and outpatient care, and participation in the 24-hour on-call roster
• Special interest in Colorectal / Upper GI or Abdominal Wallis desirable but not essential
• As a Consultant General Surgeon, you will improve the quality of patient care by participating in peer review, clinical audit and quality assurance programs
• You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills and undertake teaching and educational initiatives and responsibilities within the Department of Surgery

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), or equivalent
