Consultant Psychiatrist | Practice Based And/Or Telehealth

The role provides a unique case mix of up to 100% psychiatry consultations within a multi-disciplinary pain management and a negotiable amount of standard psychiatry private practice work. 

Chronic pain is complex and optimally treated in a multi-disciplinary pain management program (including physiotherapy, psychology, nutrition and medical).  Our team works in a collaborative manner with regular team meetings, case conferencing and shared clinical notes. Evidence on the effectiveness of our programs have been demonstrated compared to 120 other pain management providers in the Electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration (ePPOC).

With seven clinics, we are one of the largest Pain Management providers in Australia. We are the preferred providers for TAC and WorkSafe (Network Pain Management) as well as several large insurance and employer organisations.

Applicants do not need experience in pain management and full training and mentoring is provided. All our practitioners are committed to life long learning and a process of continuous improvement of our clinical standards. Opportunities are available for supported programs leading towards clinical specialisation working with Associate Professor Jon Ford (PhD and Specialist Pain Physiotherapist).
