The Role and our Branch
The Strategy and Policy division is seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Consultant, Schools Review to join the Public School Accountability directorate. The directorate conducts Statewide reviews of Public Schools to provide assurance that schools are operating effectively and delivering high quality education to their students.

Together with experience in applying sound customer service principles and practices, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external parties, are ideal.
The successful applicant will provide comprehensive logistical support for Public School Review workflow and scheduling. This will include the provision of information and technical assistance to school leaders in their preparation of school self-assessment submissions.
A high level of quality assurance will be critical in the preparation of data, research, review of briefing papers, correspondence, project budgets and confidential support documentation on behalf of the Directors and Principal Consultants. A key aspect of the role will be the provision of editorial oversight for Public School Review reports and correspondence.
The Consultant, Schools Review will also provide policy, strategic and operational management advice and support. Maintenance and interrogation of the directorate's databases, spreadsheets and operational systems will be central to this role in supporting the directorate's priorities and timely system responses.

- Demonstrated operational planning skills including the ability to coordinate, monitor, report and contribute to strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrated well developed data management skills, including data analysis and reporting, and the ability to interpret data, analyse trends and make recommendations.
- Demonstrated well developed written communication and editorial skills with considerable experience in the preparation of reports, briefings and correspondence.
- Demonstrated well developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively consult, collaborate and negotiate within a team environment and with stakeholders at a senior level.
- Demonstrated considerable knowledge and understanding of trends, initiatives and developments that impact on school performance.
