The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water (DRMDW) drives growth for Queensland by managing sustainable water resources, leading innovation in manufacturing and developing our regions. From our offices in Brisbane and a network of regional offices and manufacturing hubs, more than 700 DRDMW staff work to create a Queensland where communities, businesses and water resources are sustainable and resilient.
As a Consultant, Workplace Relations you will be required to:
* Use your high level know knowledge of contemporary human resource management practices you will provide advice and propose solutions to managers and clients on Workplace Relations issues including interpretation of legislation, industrial instruments, policies, systems, and practices.
* Provide advice and recommendations on appropriate management and resolution of industrial relations matters relating to conduct and performance matters, assisting managers, in conjunction with the Senior or Principal Consultant, Workplace Relations, to manage individual cases on a broad range of industrial applications.
* Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with work colleagues, senior management, officers from other agencies and the union to assist in promoting and monitoring contemporary Workplace Relations issues.
