RSPCA NSW is currently seeking Contact Centre Superstars. In this role, you will be responsible for answering and responding to a high volume of inbound calls, emails, and other forms of communication from the public regarding animal welfare issues. At RSPCA NSW, we understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which is why we offer flexible scheduling options.
We have both night shift and day shift opportunities available to ensure that our 24-hour Contact Centre is always staffed. Whether you're a night owl or a morning person, we've got you covered! At our animal welfare organization, we believe in creating a fun and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
The Contact Centre Representative role is predominately work from home (remote), however, you may, on occasion be required to travel to our Sydney Shelter on an as need basis.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A passion for animal welfare and a desire to make a difference
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competently use technology and multi-task between different systems while actively listening to your customer
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of calls and emails
- High attention to detail
- Be open to feedback and coaching
- Demonstrate patience and empathy towards people in difficult situations
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and public holidays
- Full working rights in Australia as no sponsorship will be offered for this role
About the Role
- Answer and respond to inbound calls, emails, and other forms of communication related to animal welfare concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
- Provide support and advice to callers on a variety of animal welfare topics
- Document all communication and interactions with callers in a clear and concise manner using our internal systems
- Utilize a variety of resources to provide accurate information and guidance to callers, including internal policies and procedures, legal requirements, and external resources
