The Role
The Marketing and Communications team are passionate about promoting vocational pathways as a smart career choice for school leavers and adult learners. We're looking for a Content and Communications Specialist to join the team who can help drive awareness around the power of vocational education.
Enhancing brand visibility, engagement, and loyalty through effective content creation and audience-focused communication is a key goal of this role.
You will work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and will be someone who understands the importance of using plain English to connect with audiences from diverse cultural, educational, and linguistic backgrounds.
About You
You'll have experience in developing and executing Content and Communications strategies tailored to specific target audiences.
Creative and passionate, you'll be a self-driven individual who understands the importance of collaboration to influence a positive outcome.
Above all, you're a team player, who will ensure all marketing and communication activities are aligned to strategic objectives and adhere to brand guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will have: * Highly developed writing skills, including the ability to create content for a variety of formats and audiences, as well possessing strong proofreading/sub-editing skills.
- Ability to be creative and generate innovative ideas and solutions and partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective content initiatives and Communications strategies.
- Demonstrated high-level knowledge and understanding of the media with experience in writing media releases and responding to media enquiries.
- Effective organisational and self-management skills with the ability to organise and prioritise workloads, manage a variety of tasks at the same time and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in applying the principles of access and equity to communications and marketing in an educational context.
- Proven ability to work in a complex, sensitive, and demanding organisational environment, with a high degree of responsibility and resilience to meet urgent deadlines and changing priorities.
If you are successful in obtaining a role with TasTAFE, you will need to hold, or obtain, the following:
- Current Registration to work with vulnerable people in Tasmania.
- A relevant formal tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, media or related field.
- Experience in communication, marketing, and media roles.
- Ability to undertake intrastate travel.
