Let’s talk about this role

As the Content &Communications Manager, you play a crucial part in harnessing the power of relevant and high impact content in driving product positioning, customer interest, engagement, retention and commercial success with our target audience across the customer journey and across the three travel brands. 

This role is responsible for planning, creating, producing, deploying and implementing nib Travel’s overall content strategy (product and travel) and Customer Communications in partnership with service, product, partnerships and marketing teams.  

The role sits at the intersection of emerging technologies such as AI, ChatGPT, chat bots, Salesforce marketing Cloud, technical SEO and other cutting-edge tools that drive the content strategy. It is essential this role be up to date with emerging content technologies and marketing trends and leverage them to create efficiencies and scale in content production/deployment, facilitate content for website and CMS migrations, scoping new content formats, oversee SEO initiatives, increase organic traffic, and serve the right content to the right member at the right time.

This role is responsible for managing across direct reports, regional product content and Communications Managers, social media, freelancer and vendor relationships and ensure relevant marketing team members are trained in content and other related platforms and systems.

Let’s talk about you

8 years’ plus experience in content marketing, trade full-stack marketing, SEO and email communication strategies will set you up for successful in this role.

You will be experienced in managing a high perform team, setting strategic direction and working with emerging technologies to deliver business results. You have a proven knowledge and experience in information systems (website, email, CMS), editing, content production and technical SEO best practices.

Being a change-maker, creative thinker and having an innovative spirit will see you do well in this role, there’s opportunity to try new things and advance the plot!

Furthermore, we’re looking for:

  • Strong leadership skills and at least 2 years of experience managing 2+ direct reports

  • Working knowledge of AI applications in SEO, with specific experience using GPT-4

  • Experience with CMS platform Orchard Core (preferred)

  • Content and site performance and optimisation: understanding of how to analyse content performance and optimise content to meet goals (i.e. traffic, conversion, etc.).

  • Technology tools: Experience with Google Analytics 4, Microsoft suite, Atlassian, Jira or similar project management tool

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree ideally in business or marketing

  • Experience in stakeholder and project management with a proven ability to coordinate people across several business units to achieve successful delivery in-line with project timeline

  • Comprehensive understanding of the latest trends in the digital and content marketing and travel industries

  • Ability and willingness to network with industry professionals and represent the brand at conferences and events

  • Strong understanding of responsible tourism and ethical travel (highly beneficial)
