About you
- Experience as a Content Designer or copy writer
- Well-developed research skills associated with using evidence, data and research to make content decisions
- Good understanding of design thinking as it applies across various mediums
- Ability to simplify complex or high-volume messages into a more easily consumed format for various audiences
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills based on good communication skills, and understanding of the stakeholders' priorities
- Ability to work independently, or as part of team in an Agile environment.
About the role
This role is responsible for creating and developing user-centered content across a variety of different mediums for a wide audience group across Government.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Have a sound ability understanding users' thoughts and behaviour through carrying out user research and testing to create empathetic, user-centred content. You'll also have experience in managing and analysing feedback and data to make informed content decisions and deliver validated digital products.
- Develop, implement and maintain content and website guidelines to ensure consistency of content and therefore the customer experience
- Use user centred design principles to develop content to meet the needs of our audience and the partner government agencies we work with.
- Simplify difficult language and distil complex processes making them easy to understand
- Support the development, editing and management of digital content. This could involve working on the end-to-end journey of a service as well as the creation and improvement of web content across multiple digital channels.
- Identify important stakeholders and establish sound working relationships with them. As part of this, you'll communicate clearly and regularly to understand stakeholder needs, foster support and advise on best content design practices
Who we are
The Digital Strategy, Investment and Assurance Team (DSIA) works across whole of NSW Government to drive digital and ICT strategy, alignment, planning, prioritisation, and investment.
The team:
- Plays a pivotal role in driving digital strategy and alignment to improve customer outcomes, reduce legacy systems and drive adoption of common assets.
- Administers the $2.2 billion Digital Restart Fund transforming the way government invests in Digital and ICT and driving digital change in NSW.
- Delivers independent oversight of NSW Government ICT and digital projects, including Gateway reviews and periodic health checks at key points in a projects lifecycle to support identifying the right projects, delivering them on-time, on-budget and eliminating risks.
- Transforms the way government works to solve problems through the Digital Design Toolkit, Design Standards and Design System, making it easier for teams to build and deliver great digital service.
