Job Summary:
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position will own results for systems that will improve the overall efficiency of the manufacturing. This role will actively participate in annual planning, weekly root cause analysis meetings, weekly maintenance meetings and Daily Direction Setting meetings.
This position will lead change management – ensuring we continue to improve every day. You will:
- Develop standards and strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations.
- Lead root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the process.
- Coach teams on how to improve performance and how to respond to various issues.
This position would consider a business graduate, who is driven and wants to influence change at a global organisation!
Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the line loss analysis (waste elimination and yield improvement) and line improvement plans.
- Leads change management, centerline definition and other standards.
- Analyses daily and shift data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities.
- Spends time on the shop floor to gather information on stops, centerlines and changeovers over the past 24 hours.
- Investigates root cause of top stops.
- Attends shift handovers and meetings.
- Discusses top stops and root cause, then establishes countermeasures for the day.
- Comply with all established GMP, housekeeping guidelines, housekeeping responsibilities and FSQ operating procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of the FSQ program and acts as trainer of new associates.
- Flexibility to adjust to shifts to work with employees from all shifts as required.
- Expertise in basic problem solving
Key Skills required:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Capable of learning intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word skills
- Strong planning/organizational skills and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and coach management systems
- Ability to understand and write SOPs, WIs and OPLs.
