OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE: CONTRACT CATERER
Location: Hamilton North Bowling Club
Hamilton North Bowling Club is a small but very active Bowls club that has its heart in the local community. Located stone’s throw from Newcastle Entertainment Centre and McDonald Jones Stadium. The club has a proud history and is about to celebrate its 60th anniversary!

The Club are now calling for applications from suitably qualified Contract Caterers to manage the Club’s catering operations. Our current membership is 2000+ and we currently offer food service from Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and Dinner. We are happy for our new Caterer to expand on these days and hours if they choose to. We also expect to caterers to be available at all club raffles. We are looking for the new Contract Caterer to move into the kitchen on 29th April 2024 and commence food service from 3rd May 2024.

We are seeking a Caterer who can offer a Pub/Club style modern cuisine, but we also welcome your suggestion of the food you would like to offer. We also need our Caterer to provide quality functions menus for groups holding events in our undercover outdoor area, BBQ Area or any of our other areas suitable for functions. We have a large clientele base and forming a repour with the regular club patrons will be key to your success. We are open to the service style, however the Caterer must supply service staff if this is the choice. The club has a buzzer system that can be used by the Caterer if desired. There is plenty of space in the club for seating.

The Commercial Kitchen is well set up including a cool room, freezer room, stand up and bench top fridges and dry store and a range of up-to-date kitchen equipment
including:
 Combi oven
 Oven with 8 burner cooktop
 Hot plate
 2 x 2 Deep fryers
 Pizza oven
 Microwave
 Salamander

The club will supply Point-of Sale equipment. The successful Caterer will employ their own kitchen and front of house staff (if needed depending on service style). Caterers will be also pleased to hear that utilities, repairs and maintenance will be covered by the club but stress that the menu prices are to reflect these savings.

Applicants must meet the following criteria;
 A proven history of providing meals of high quality at competitive prices.
 Able to meet deadlines and have excellent time management skills.
 Be fully compliant with HACCP, WHS and all other relevant legislations relating to
food, hygiene, and employment.
 Ability to build good relationships with members and guests both through service
delivery and by employing well trained staff committed to customer service.
 Be focused on longevity.
 Proven functions experience.
 Excellent communication skills.

 The ability to work cohesively and consult proactively with the Club's
Management, staff and Board of Directors.
 Willingness to add versatility to menus.
 Maintain high levels of presentation and cleanliness.
