The Gunnedah Golf Club is a community club servicing the whole community and looks after not only golfers but families as well and those who want to spend time in a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment.

Gunnedah is in north-eastern NSW with a population of 10,000 as well as those from surrounding villages within 40km of Gunnedah.

Gunnedah has three secondary schools: Gunnedah High School, Carinya Christian School, and St Mary's College. There are three government (Gunnedah Public School, Gunnedah South Public School, and G.S. Kidd Memorial School) and two non-government (St Xavier's & St Marys Catholic Schools and Carinya Christian School) primary & secondary schools. A campus of the New England Institute of TAFE is also located within the town.

The town is well serviced by a local hospital and several doctors who reside in the community and visit. We have numerous sports including rugby & rugby league, soccer, netball, cricket, golf, tennis, physical culture, and a popular swimming club.

The Club is searching for a Contract Caterer to continue with the growing busy environment we are currently experiencing. The club boosts 1,700 members and is having continued profit growth and has done so for several years. Unlike most golf clubs we are situated within a neighbourhood surrounded by a large residential area. We are the only licensed premises west of the railway line.

We currently have a separate restaurant for 60pax and a function room accommodating 150pax. On most evenings patrons also use the bar and lounge area to consume meals.

We are continuing to expand and cater for families with our current demographics in the area.

The bistro currently trades six days a week for lunch and dinner however the new operator may have other ideas to extend trading days/times.

What we are after:

At present we are modernising and renovating the kitchen and the new caterer will be walking into an environment fresh and ready for their own touches definite advantage to look at a Modern Australian menu with a variety of options for kids and families and flexibility with offerings (pub style meals, pastas, pizzas, roasts) as well as an affordable and diverse function menu predominately with birthday parties. reunions, weddings, wakes and corporate events.

You will have:

-       Consistently good food, quality, and value for money and one of the ’go to’ places in town for a meal.

-       Be able to provide a range of menus to suit a bistro and functions.

-       Have well trained and personable staff for both FOH & BOH.

-       Excellent customer service.

-       Be willing to have a good relationship with customers, the Board and management.

-       Be fully compliant with HACCP, WHS, IR, FSS and other relevant legislation relating to food, hygiene, and employment.

-       Willingness to add versatility and imagination to menus and functions.

-       Ability to cater for bistro and functions simultaneously.

-       Have excellent time management skills and meet deadlines.
