Our growing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice, based within the Northern Beaches Hospital, is looking for a casual Medical Receptionist to join our well established and close knit team.
As the first point of contact for patients when they call or visit our practice, you will have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to make patients feel instantly welcome and comfortable
- Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Terrific time management skills and be capable of multi-tasking
- Previous experience in General or Specialist Medical and Dental practices
- A Working With Children Certificate
Familiarity with Gentu (practice management software), the Medicare Benefits Schedule and/or Australian Dental Association Schedule is desirable however comprehensive training will be provided.
Your duties will include:
- Answering phone calls and booking appointments for patients
- Management of referrals
- Responding to email queries from patients
- Liaising with health funds, referring practices and other specialists
- Organisation of operating theatre lists
- Collection of payments for consultations and procedures
- Management of communication between the practice and referrers
- Practice promotion and development
This is a flexible position working alongside a supportive team in an environment in which you can excel. We anticipate being able to offer 1-2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) between the hours 08:00am and 5:00pm and you will be rewarded with an attractive salary.
