Randstad Defence has multiple opportunities within the Federal Government/Defence department that is designed to turn innovative technologies into capabilities to help take Defence further, faster. This department will take a strategically directed, mission-based approach to pull asymmetric innovations into capabilities with identified transition pathways into acquisition.
Based in Melbourne and Canberra we have multiple 10 month casual contract positions for Contract Management Officer(s) to commence early March 2024.
Requirement:
This department delivering high quality procurement, contracting and commercial services and support for core activities and enterprise requirements.
- Drafting or advising on the drafting of procurement artefacts, including Endorsements to Proceed, Section 23 Commitment Approval Submissions, approach to market request documentation, procurement plans and strategies, tender evaluation plans, source evaluation reports, contract negotiation directives, contracts and other agreements;
- Providing commercial and procurement subject matter advise to teams, including probity advice;
- Negotiating contracts and agreements, and contract changes;
- Engaging (internal or external) support in cost and price analysis, and legal services;
- Participating in procurement planning and tender/submission evaluation activities;
- Undertaking financial administrative tasks required to enable procurement activities, including budget management and reporting, purchase order creation and maintenance, and invoice processing.
About You:
- Qualifications and/or relevant experience in procurement, contracting and contract administration within Government or Defence.
- Experience and competency using Defence corporate business systems (including MyProcurement, MyFI and Objective);
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth and Defence procurement, finance, security and contract management governance frameworks;
- Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; and
- Ability to prioritise own workload with minimal supervision to deliver agreed outcomes.
