Your next opportunity:
Boral Asphalt now have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Contracting Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership to our team in Seven Hills/Port Kembla, NSW.
Reporting to the Area Manager - Asphalt, you will lead a team to deliver road surfacing solutions. Your key accountabilities will be to ensure the team delivers projects to time and to budget with a strong emphasis on safety.
Your day will involve:
- Manage the delivery of all contracts/projects to time and budget
- Provide senior management representation across clients and industry
- Work with the Business Development Manager and estimating team to secure projects
- Coordinate supply chain ensuring delivery to customer requirements
- Engage and manage subcontract resources
- Provide leadership and support to the team of Project Managers Project Engineers to ensure the operations function effectively and seamlessly to their capacity
- Instil good contract management and project management practices, disciplines, systems and procedures across the region
What are we looking for?
- A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus
- Proven experience in Asphalt Management/Operations role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Proven ability and experience in supervising an asphalt operation
- Strong people and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to keep up to date with relevant Australian Standards and product specifications
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people
- A strong financial acumen
