Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.

The Role:

This position sits within our Major Projects division, providing overall Contracts and Commercial support a key ore producing client. Your day to day will include;

• Provide commercial subject matter expert support to Operations and Project Managers, including ongoing advice on contract management and risk mitigation
• Work closely with our legal team, consolidate general deviations from contract, lessons learnt and application to new contracts
• Maintaining proactive relationships and management with the EPCM, client and sub-contractors
• Involvement in defining, and negotiating, commercial terms and conditions for supply and construction contracts
• Take ownership for ensuring commercial governance provided meets client requirements and is compliant with legislation and Calibre standards

• Varied experience background working in EPCM, Contractor and Client environments
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in delivering commercial support through the entire project life cycle
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce or Engineering
• Strong communication skills to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to lead, influence and effectively collaborative with cross functional teams
