About the opportunity:
This is a superb role for a dynamic and experienced Contracts Specialist within our National Contracts Team. As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the Contract Review & Management Process across our Concrete, Aggregates, Humes, and Major Projects Business Units. This is a critical position that involves both pre and post-tender responsibilities, including contract reviews, negotiations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Review, negotiate, and execute supply contracts in accordance with risk management guidelines, Holcim's Golden Rules, and Limits of Authority.
- Collaborate with various departments such as Project Managers, Account Managers, Technical, Logistics, Operations, HSE, Customer Service, and Credit.
- Support local businesses in delivering products and services in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Assist in identifying and notifying possible variations in line with the agreement.
- Streamline processes and conduct root cause analysis to optimize project processes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
- Foster positive relationships and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
- Actively promote and lead a safety culture within Holcim at all times.
- Degree in law, engineering, business, accounting, quantity surveying, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Understanding of the construction or similar industry.
- Familiarity and understanding of common forms of supply contracts and agreements.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Apps, PDF software, and other relevant systems.
- Strong commercial acumen and well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to drive performance, cultivate relationships, and foster teamwork.
- Knowledge of competition legislation, compliance requirements, and relevant industry directives.
