Contracts Specialist on a 12-month fixed term contract based in Bowen, North Queensland. On top of a competitive salary and great team culture, all relocation expenses will be paid for.
The RoleThe
Contracts Specialist will report directly to the Commercial Manager and support the business by delivering pre- and post-award procurement activities across their capital projects.
Key accountabilities include:- Lead and manage the contract end to end lifecycle including strategic sourcing activities
- Provide commercial management of contracts and framework agreements
- Develop commercial strategies in line with company goals
- Coordinate contract performance reviews with stakeholders
- Provide commercial support to the project team
- Manage contract administration duties such as claims, variations etc
- Drive positive commercial outcomes for the company by using excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Skills and Experience- Possess an excellent knowledge of commercial and contract management
- Resource sector experience (mining) is highly desirable but not essential
- Previous experience negotiating and executing construction packages is highly desirable
- Ability to lead negotiations for commercial agreements
- Proven experience managing end to end tender processes is essential
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to build and foster relationships
- Must be able to relocate to Bowen, North Queensland or surrounding areas
