Role Description
We are on the lookout for a proactive and highly motivated Control System Engineer to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role requires a presence in Perth, WA, with the flexibility to undertake site work. The successful candidate will be tasked with the design, development, testing, maintenance, and evaluation of power systems, encompassing SCADA, Control Systems, and Communication Engineering. Responsibilities also include specifying and procuring electrical equipment, conducting tests, and performing hardware and software inspections, along with fault-finding and remediation activities.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited Australian institution
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in SCADA and Control System Engineering
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and integrating Telemetry, SCADA, and Control Systems (knowledge in systems such as Rockwell Automation, Schneider, Siemens, GE D20/D25, SEL RTAC, PowerOn Advantage preferred)
- Familiarity with Protection Relays, Power Meters, Transformers, Generators, Inverters, and Battery Management Systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in creating and maintaining engineering documentation, including reports, drawings, and manuals
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective stakeholder engagement and team collaboration
- Capacity for both teamwork and independent work
- Prior experience in the Energy Storage utilities industry is an asset
- Solid project management and time management competencies
