Position: Control Systems Engineer
Salary from: Stream A Level 6.1 (From 97k + superannuation)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Engineerto join the Water Services Delivery Branch within the Council. This is a maximum term contract until June 2025.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that Logan Water’s Control Systems and associated equipment are operated and maintained effectively ensuring that the water and wastewater assets continue to deliver services.
The role is accountable to provide technical and engineering guidance in the design, delivery, operation and management of Logan Water's SCADA, Control System Infrastructure. The emphasis of this role is on Process/Control System Engineering across Logan Water’s Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Position Responsibilities include:
- System administration and development of the Control Systems
- Provide specialist advice regarding the development of, procedures, standards and programs.
- Engage internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure compliance.
- Provide project leadership in relation to the design, development and testing.
- Adopt a safety culture and mindset that delivers improved safety outcomes and decision making.
Key indicators for success:
- Possess a relevant Degree or Associate Diploma with relevant technical experience and/or demonstrated extensive experience.
- Experience in the management and operation of critical infrastructure relating to water and waste-water Control Systems.
- Well-developed written, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels.
- Experience maintaining, operating and supporting a robust and resilient SCADA system.
