As an internationally respected manufacturing organisation, we are currently seeking a professional and hard-working “Plant Control Systems Support Technician” to join our support team.
Based from our Brisbane Head Office, the successful candidate will have the responsibility to support asphalt plant operators with process, electrical and control system related issues. The role will be primarily office-based dealing with remote support services, but will also include on-site fault finding, auditing systems and training operators.
This exciting opportunity will involve adhoc travel, both domestic and international, in turn would best suit a candidate who is a qualified industrial or automation Electrician, who is highly flexible, energetic and is prepared to work away from home for some periods.
Reporting directly to the Retrofit Manager, your duties & responsibilities will include:
- Hands on set up and commissioning of as1 Control Systems software with profinet and interbus interfaces.
- Managing contractors and on-site support staff
- Managing and prioritising multiple duties and tasks at one time
- Performing plant audits to consult clients on best operating and process practices.
- Dealing with internal and external clients
- Fault finding and identifying Asphalt Plant operational issues.
- Provide training to clients and staff on plant Control Systems.
Experience and Qualifications:
- a Fully Qualified Electrical Mechanic registered in Australia, with high level and proven experience with Asphalt / Quarry/ or Process plant experience, working with RealTime controller, profinet or interbus. Experience with Ammann as1 Control Systems is an advantage.
- 4 or more years’ experience working on asphalt or similar process plant systems and
- Experience with Variable Speed Drives, Motors, PLC’s, Communications
- Understanding of Australian OHS legislation and safe work practices.
- High level Computer Literacy
- Ability to work autonomously.
