About the Role:
As a Control System Engineer at MinRes, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our Ore Processing and Handling Facilities at CSI Mining through cutting-edge control systems. Based on an 8/6 roster at our Onslow site, your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our operational efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the operational integrity of control systems including PLCs, HMIs, data historians, and alarm management systems.
Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support across various sites, including to Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Project teams.
Continuously assess and improve equipment and processes for peak performance optimization.
Conduct thorough testing, routine maintenance, and strategic modifications to existing systems.
Analyse operational data and compile detailed reports to guide decision-making.
Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with a diverse team of internal stakeholders and external clients.
Support the procurement of technical materials for project execution and system maintenance.
Enable innovations in plant performance by leveraging advanced control technologies.
Participate in commissioning, operational readiness activities, and system optimisation initiatives. Including the development and commissioning of new control systems or improvements to existing systems.
Accept responsibility and accountability in line with the position's seniority.
Develop and implement reporting mechanisms;.
Educate and enhance the skills of onsite electrical personnel in control systems maintenance and diagnostics.
Support the execution of crucial plant operations, including shutdowns and startups.
What You'll Bring:
A Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Control, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a relevant Trade Qualification. A C Class driver’s license is also required.
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Process Control within fixed dry and wet processing plants or similar industrial settings.
Robust knowledge in the following areas is essential:
PLC and HMI interfaces
Motor drive systems and instrumentation hardware
Industrial network communications, protocols, and infrastructure
