Who we are
Douglas & Collins is a leading Tasmanian law firm based in Launceston. The firm is one of the state’s oldest, and its longevity and success stems from the quality of our advice and the service we provide.
The firm has positioned itself as a provider of commercial legal services, with its practice areas including property law and conveyancing, commercial law, estate planning and succession, and commercial and estate litigation.
Employment Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join our team. Supported by a group of experienced property lawyers and working directly with experienced conveyancing assistants, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of our busy conveyancing practice. The role will include advising and building relationships with clients, troubleshooting issues that arise throughout the conveyancing process, and providing guidance to, and working as part of, our small, high-performing conveyancing team.
If the successful candidate has an interest in developing a broader commercial law practice then you will be supported to do so, with the firm having no shortage of work across the areas of property law, commercial transactions and advice, wills and estate planning, and estate administration.
What we look for
The role would suit a practitioner with a minimum of two years post-admission experience in the area of conveyancing and property law. Subject to the satisfaction of that requirement, practitioners of all levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
The firm values professionalism and is committed to quality outcomes, and these are the characteristics we look for in our practitioners. A commitment to professional development and a willingness to work collaboratively will be regarded favourably.
The firm maintains a commitment to Northern Tasmania and seeks applicants who are prepared to consider doing the same.
To express your interest in the role, please email Kai Beyerle (****@douglascollins.com.au) with your resume and cover email. All applications and enquiries will be treated in strict confidence.
