The Executive Manager is responsible for the provision of high quality, professional and confidential senior executive support services to the Medical Director and various Directors within the Office of the Medical Director. The role has a strategic focus to enable the Medical Director to support the QAS and the greater community to achieve goals for improved services and patient care.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
• The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
• Whilst not mandatory, a qualification in administration or a business-related discipline will be highly regarded.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of the QAS organisational structure and the functions and legislative requirements of the Queensland Government to enable the efficient handling of enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external clients.
• Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and public relations skills to enable professional interaction with a range of stakeholders including senior management and other staff, the public, dignitaries, representatives from other organisations and Government Ministers.
• Extensive experience in public service administration processes and the provision of high level policy advice, which contributes to the achievement of business and operational objectives in a large, complex, and diversified organisation.
• Proven high level conceptual and problem solving skills and the ability to understand, analyse, manipulate and interrogate data from a wide range of sources and produce relevant, comprehensive reports.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and a thorough understanding of governmental in confidence practices.
• Highly developed time management skills and a demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects, including the organisation of events and functions, in an environment of competing priorities and changing demands.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting high quality correspondence, speeches, presentations, media items and reports in accordance with departmental style guide requirements and protocols.
