Rose Jensen Kent Lawyers is seeking a Conveyancing paralegal to commence on a full-time contract role (ie. from Monday, 8.30am to Friday 5.00pm with one hour break for lunch each day) from Monday, 1 July 2024 for three weeks, with the final work date to be up to and including Friday, 19 July 2024.
Depending on how the successful applicant performs, there may then be the opportunity for continuing casual work on a 2-3 day per week basis from after the contract period.
Salary would be in the range of $31.00 to $33.00 per hour for the contract position, based on experience of the successful applicant.
Experience in conveyancing is required (specifically using PEXA) and experience using LEAP Software is preferred.
The role will include:
- Day-to-day running of conveyancing files for residential properties in Queensland (both sales and purchases);
- Opening and managing conditions under contracts;
- Dealing with clients both over the phone and in-person;
- Correspondence to all parties to a conveyancing transaction including the client, the other party's solicitors, the agent and any other third party;
- Preparing files for settlement including calculation of settlement figures.
There will also be a requirement to assist in the firms incoming enquiries on a day-to-day basis to be referred to the appropriate person within the firm.
This role requires in-person attendance at the firm's location in Ipswich; unfortunately work from home is not possible.
