Cook And Baker

Pizzica is looking for an experience Cook and Baker for their busy Italian restaurant located in Margaret River.
Duties to be performed for Cook:
• Able to maintain a clean and neat appearance in line with the organization's standards;
• Experienced in cookery
• Ability to prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards
• Ability to prepare meals for special events and additions functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers;
• Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner. These include cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen supplies and utensils on a regular basis;
• Support the ordering of food and supplies
• Ability to care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately
• Prepare main, entrees, and desserts
• Developing menu suggestions for meal planning
• Proceeding with cleaning and defrosting of the refrigerator on a monthly basis
• Diligently check on store food and supplies are delivered
Duties to be performed for Baker:
• Cooking using different techniques
• Measuring ingredients to ensure the right quantity for each product and also kneed and cut dough;
• Measuring and mixing ingredients into dough according to a recipe to produce breads, pastries and other baked goods;
• Rolling and cutting or otherwise shape the dough according to the specifications of the recipe;
• Measuring flour, sugar, and other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs and fillings.
• Using scale and graduated containers;
• Baking the shaped dough and decorating the final product, observing color of products being baked and turns thermostat or other controls to adjust oven temperature;
The positions for Cook and Baker requires at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
The right candidate will have excellent knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine, attention to details and will be able to work under pressure.
Position: Full-time
Salary: $60,000 – 75,000 depending on skills and experience
