Cook (Western Cuisine)

We have great opportunities in Australia for highly skilled and professional commercial Cooks. 

Are you a commercial Cook with experience in Western Cuisine or have worked in western cruise ship, hotels and or fine dining restaurants? We have multiple vacancies available. 

To apply you must have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
• Experience in a hotel, cruise ship, pub or fine dining restaurants
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Work experience in a fast-paced environment
• Proven commercial kitchen cooking skills
• Documents to support your visa application (passport, police clearances, employment evidences including reference letters, salary evidences such as pay slips or government contribution records, and school records)

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have at least Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate
• Training certificates
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
• Physically fit

Common tasks and responsibilities to perform in this role include:

• Compliance of food safety, hygiene, sanitation and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
• Preparing and cooking food
• Seasoning food during cooking
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• May plan menus and estimate food requirements
• May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
