Cook/Chef position available
An exciting new restaurant in the Ballina Byron area is seeking a Chef/Cook. The position is a 6 month temporary contract with the option to extend. We are searching for a hands-on, strong, and passionate Chef to execute evening dinner services. You will work closely with a small team of passionate industry professionals to ensure that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our high standards of excellence. Experience working in fine dining restaurants and working with fresh ingredients is a bonus.

Note: Chef/Cook position is only responsible for dinner service. Breakfast service is not required or expected for this position.
For this position we are seeking a Cook/Chef who possesses the following:
- Prior experience as Cook/Chef (Minimum of 2 years)
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to foster co-operation and respect between co-workers
- Diverse cooking and food handling techniques and knowledge
- Ability to assist with any/all tasks to support the success of the kitchen
- Maintain high standard of cleanliness in kitchen, cool room, and storage areas
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations meeting safety standards
The successful applicant will be required to work a flexible schedule including weekends and public holidays.
Work eligibility: Permitted to work permanently and with no restrictions on hours (e.g., citizen, permanent resident).
